The re- introduction of short courses could be seen as another important accomplishment for SIAD!

The long-awaited promise to re- introduce short courses in different subjects to outside candidates became a reality in 2021.

 

SIAD started offering two short courses: Sewing Skills for Beginners and Basic Soft Furnishing which have not only provided greater access and opportunities to outside candidates to further develop their skills, but have also enabled them to grasp the concept of lifelong learning.

 

An opportunity for candidates to build on existing qualifications gained in different work places to fill knowledge and skills gaps!

 

Today, the Institute has on offer two additional short courses on offer namely; Drawing and Painting and Basic Digital Graphic Design. Other short courses in Textiles and Fibre Craft will be on offer in the near future.
